I have served as judge of the 262nd District Court for the past 7 years. I am a licensed attorney with over 30 years experience. Prior to assuming the bench I practiced law in both State and Federal Courts.
1) Access to mental health services & treatment- Investing in mental health to address public safety concerns. I have served as a co presiding judge of the competency restoration docket and currently the mental health liaison in the Harris County felony criminal division. Specific plans are to continue & increase the number of mental health forums in communities regarding mental health services available and expand the courts mental health docket with more information about community resources.
2) Youth violence - Continue the initiative with Tackling Crime in the Red Zone and the NFL Houston Alumni Houston Chapter & NFL Players Assoc. Houston Chapter to educate and motivate youth.
